Fourteen Years of K-12 Writing Ambassadors Outreach

Writing Ambassadors is an internship program and class (UWP 197TC) for UC Davis undergraduates who are interested in careers in K-12 education (as teachers, counselors, etc.). 

Ambassadors can come from any major and work in any K-12 classroom or after school program in Davis or surrounding areas.  The class provides interns with strategies they can use to help students with reading and writing tasks in the classroom. Each year over 150 Ambassadors assist hundreds of teachers and thousands of students throughout the region.

If you are interested in applying to Writing Ambassadors, please complete the application located below. You should get a notification email immediately saying

that you submitted your application. Please allow at least one week for the coordinator to receive and 

decide on your application. Once admitted, you'll receive additional, specific information about how 

to find a teacher, deadlines, etc.
